Instead, e-commerce volumes skyrocketed and Haypp put out a tender for a Norwegian warehouse centrally located in Oslo.
After listening to many of the problems and bottlenecks experienced on their Swedish site, e-motions was finally able to present a concept that was both scalable and small enough to be run centrally.
In addition to the new packing machines that were more or less developed specifically for the customer, we also boasted our solution for maximizing the number of picking bins. By stacking and de-stacking (stacker/de-stacker), we were able to present a solution of 9.6 meters of roller conveyor that in a more traditional solution would have required hundreds. In a total area of less than 200 m², about 5 people work at the Norwegian warehouse that sends out many thousands of orders every day.
Through a circular backflow, a highly efficient picking with two integrated packing machines, and an automatic sorting, levels are reached that few other players would have done manually with a quadruple set of FTEs.
