TURA Scandinavia is a leading distributor of consumer electronics. In addition to consumer electronics, they also have a wide range of professional photo, video and graphics products.
They supply products primarily to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The company was founded in 1976 and has since grown with several customers and not least the logistics where we have been involved in developing the flow.
TURA is, in our opinion, a role model when it comes to automation and logistics. They chose to invest in automation early on, and have had good results in terms of profitable growth as a result.
We at e-motions came into the picture in 2019, when TURA became our first customer for automatic parcel sorting. The sorting facility has a capacity of 3,500 parcels per hour and consists of a roller conveyor system, our DWS house where the pre-packed parcels pass for scanning, weighing and sizing. The parcels are then sorted out in our modular sorting section.
"It was an important piece of the puzzle. Smooth parcel sorting is essential when the e-commerce part grows. For us, it was also important to choose a local player, it makes it easier when you speak the same language. The alternative would have been to buy from a major player in Europe."
